This beautiful fall day in Houston was perfect to capture this adorable couple and their two pooches. They are still newlyweds and have the two strangest and adorable Mexican hairless pups! Ha! I have actually never seen or touched one before, but I can tell you they are sweet, playful, and feel a little bit like leather.

We met at the Houston Arboretum to capture these stunning photos. The light was perfect and the setting quiet and serene. We played a little and shot a lot and even ended the whole session with one of their pups jumping in the pond! YIKES!! I, unfortunately, didn’t get pictures of that because I actually had set my cameras down in panic thinking I might have to jump in after him! Luckily, he swam just fine (and the water is not that deep) and we coaxed him to the side.

I have nearly fallen in ponds or pools before on a shoot- but never had such an unexpected event like that. I was mad at myself for not capturing at least ONE shot of the swim scene… but oh well!!
